A View of the Norris Phenomenon
A View of the Norris Phenomenon is a 32 page booklet written by Dr. Warren in the 90s and published in 2004 about his journey through the fundamentalist Baptist movement. It exposes the fatal flaw in the movement and warns others not to make the same mistake.
An excerpt follows: "Every day I passed a giant bronze statue of J. Frank Norris as I drove up a winding driveway on the campus of Bible Baptist Seminary to attend classes. I couldn't help but wonder about the aura surrounding the man's legacy and the great hubris I saw in many of the men who followed him. That is exactly what led me to the concept of the Norris Phenomenon. Do not misunderstand: Norris had many excellent qualities. It was the weaknesses, such as his great hubris that most men copied and that is the phenomenon I speak of. The book is yours for a contribution to cover our costs.
