It was over 100 degrees yesterday, but my wife dragged me over 31 miles to Arlington (through construction on every major freeway) to pick up some wallpaper for her bathrooms. It must have been stupid driver day, because all of them were out there (except me, of course). This kind of thing usually happens just before a holiday, but I checked the calender and July 4 was over a week ago. I don't know what caused the increase in traffic or the mental breakdown. I even tried a different route going back home, but it was not one whit better. Not even a dab. So the inconsistencies are unanimous.
I find the greater inconsistency in drivers who break the law. Scofflaws! People who deliberately break the law in an attempt to gain an advantage, not only disregarding the rules but having no esteem for other drivers. The same people who declare themselves patriotic on July 4 and then abuse it on July 12.
We are not given freedom for lawlessness. No a lawbreaker is not a patriot. How can one love his country while resorting to civil disobedience or putting his fellow man in jeopardy? Our country is not just government; our country is made up of all the things that go into order.
In creation, God brought order out of chaos and said "It is good." Order is peaceful. Order is godly. Order is patriotic.
