I only have three grandchildren. Spending time with them is extremely precious to me. One of my granddaughters, Chelsea, came yesterday and visited for more than an hour. She asked about our trip to Europe in October, and I eagerly showed her photographs. Her husband, Chris Angles, told us that his father is extremely ill. Being Wednesday, we went to a prayer service last night where I asked the church to pray for him.
I have had the privilege of being with my grandson, J.D., almost daily for the past several years. Today, we hung sheetrock in our fellowship hall, which we are remodeling and tomorrow, God willing, we will do the same thing.
If it is worthy of comparison, perhaps the LORD would like to spend time with us, His children. Do we have a daily walk with Him? Is He even part of our world? Ungrateful is the child who never gives his father a thought, much less spend time in fellowship with Him in the Word and prayer. Give your father some of your time. He has been gracious to give you
